How to subscribe to our calendar

The instructions for subscribing to the calendar are slightly different depending upon the calendar software or smartphone you use. Please follow the appropriate link to find instructions for your particular software or phone.

Subscribe to our calendar using Google Calendar

If you have a google mail account, you can add our calendar to your google calendars. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Log into your google account
  2. Click on the calendar link
  3. In the section called "Other Calendars", select the link which says "Add" and choose to "Add by URL"
  4. Copy the URL below and paste it into the box which appears.
  5. Select "OK" to subscribe.

Subscribe to our calendar using Thunderbird

If you use Thunderbird and you wish to subscribe to our calendar, please use the instructions below:

  1. If you don't have the Lightning extension, you need to download this first.
  2. In Lightning, right click under your list of calendars and select "New Calendar" or use the File Menu-> New -> Calendar
  3. On the next window, select "On the network".
  4. On the following window, choose, "iCalendar (ICS) and paste the link below into the box.
  5. Click next and on the next window, give our calendar a meaningful name such as Tango Cheltenham, choose a display colour if you wish.
  6. Click finish and your calendar should update itself regularly.

Subscribe to our calendar using Microsoft Outlook

If you use Microsoft Outlook, you can subscribe to the Tango Cheltenham calendar by following the instructions below:

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, select the tools menu, followed by account settings.
  2. Go to the Internet Calendars tab and select "New".
  3. Copy the web address below and paste it into the box.
  4. Click "Add", enter the name you want for the calendar in "Folder Name" and click OK.

Subscribe to our calendar using Windows Calendar

Windows 7 comes with professional versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7. This also allows you to subscribe to Google calendars. Just follow the instructions below:

  1. In Windows Calendar, click the Subscribe link in the toolbar.
  2. In the window that opens, copy and paste the address below into the box and click "Next".
  3. Give the calendar a name and choose an update interval.

Subscribe to our calendar on an iPhone

iPhone OS 3.0 is capable of subscribing to Google calendars. There are two main ways of doing this:

Method 1

  1. Email the web address below to an email address you can receive on your iPhone.
  2. Click on the link in your email.

Subscribe to our calendar using an android-based smartphone

If you have an android-based smartphone, you may sucscribe to our calendar using the steps below:

  1. Subscribe to the calendar using Google Calendars using the instructions on this page.
  2. Make sure that you have set your phone to synchronise with your Google account.
