We will be holding a Christma Milonga on Saturday, 5th December, 2009 at the Bayshill Unitarian Church from 8pm until 1am with a fun class at 7pm. More details are available on our milongas page.

Our next series of beginner classes and a new cycle of improver and intermediate classes began on Tuesday 8th September at 8pm, but it is never too late to join in. We will always make sure you are up to speed.

Classes run every week roughly in line with school terms except we usually keep going over their half term break. We would love for you to join us there. To be absolutely certain, check our calendar.

Beginners who miss the first few weeks may start at any time and should read the Classes page and the Beginners' Page. Everyone else should read about the class structure on the classes page. We look forward to seeing you all there.

As an experiment, we are providing a subscribable calendar in ics format. If you wish to give it a try, subscribe to the calendar at webcal://www.tangocheltenham.org.uk/calendars/TangoCheltenham.ics. For users of Windows Calendar, simply click to subscribe and allow your PC to subscribe when you are asked. For users of Thunderbird with Lightning or the Sunbird calendar, choose New Calendar in your software, select network calendar and enter the address of the calendar. To avoid errors, make the calendar read only. We would appreciate any feedback on the system through our enquiries page, including whether or not it actually works for you and whether or not you have tried it with any other calandar software.

Tango Cheltenham

Tango Cheltenham was formed in September 2004 by Janet Earl and Adrian Barsby. It started as a series of Tuesday evening classes with about 10 or 15 dancers. We now have a solid core of some 30 dancers at our dance classes and usually have 40 or more in our beginners' classes.

Tango Cheltenham still holds its weekly Tuesday night classes, but now also holds regular milongas here in Cheltenham. Our fourth successful tango ball in Tewkesbury, proved to be even more popular than ever, with its Moulin Rouge theme and DJ Leroy Tango Cat providing workshops and music. We have a reputation as a particularly friendly club and would love to welcome you to our classes or one of our milongas.

Tango is a social dance and the dancers of Tango Cheltenham often dance at other clubs in the region, as well as those elsewhere in the country and even elsewhere in the world.

Many of our members also dance at Tango Gloucester, our sister club.
